The Office of the Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Strategic Development) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the implementation of institutional strategies to ensure the university achieves its short-term and long-term goals. This office plays a key role in providing analysis, policies, and strategic recommendations to support academic development, research, and overall university management. Through systematic and results-oriented planning, the office helps ensure that every initiative is aligned with the university’s vision and mission.

In addition, the office monitors the university’s strategic performance through evaluation and reporting mechanisms, enabling effective corrective actions and continuous improvement. By integrating data, analysis, and feedback from various departments, the Office of the Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Strategic Development) supports informed and effective decision-making processes, thereby strengthening the university’s position at both national and international levels.

The Office of the PNC JIPK serves as the core pulse of UPNM in driving the industry engagement agenda, safeguarding the corporate image, and establishing strategic relations with stakeholders at both national and international levels. Through a performance database and strategic planning, this office supports executive decision-making and acts as the official liaison with ministries and external agencies. The commitment of this Office is to bridge academia with industry reality to produce highly skilled and highly employable UPNM graduates.

The core functions of the PNC JIPK office are driven in a focused manner through three complementary support divisions, namely, the Administration and Event Management Division, the Strategic and Corporate Communication Division, and the Industry Networking Division. The Office is fully responsible for coordinating parliamentary feedback and managing protocol for every official university event. It focuses on strengthening the university’s image and handles media relations, corporate publications, website management, as well as multimedia documentation to ensure UPNM's vision and achievements are widely disseminated. The Office translates the goals of strategic collaboration and serves as the prime mover for cooperation agreements (MoU/MoA), industrial training placements, staff attachment programs, and the implementation of talent exchange programs. Through close cooperation with the Ministry of Defence and the Malaysian Armed Forces, the Office actively secures ICP funding and monitors Quadruple-Helix model projects for the sustainability of the community and the nation.

The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Data Management and Quality) is responsible for ensuring that the university’s data management is conducted in a systematic, accurate, and secure manner. The office collects, stores, and analyzes academic, research, and administrative data to support decision-making processes and strategic planning. By emphasizing high quality standards, the office ensures that all managed information remains relevant, reliable, and compliant with university policies and guidelines.

In addition to data management, the office plays a crucial role in monitoring and enhancing institutional quality through evaluation mechanisms, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Data Management and Quality) serves as the primary reference point for ensuring that all university processes and systems comply with accreditation standards, thereby strengthening academic and administrative performance as well as the university’s reputation at both national and international levels.
