The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International) is responsible for leading the administration and management of the University, particularly in the areas of academic and international portfolios. In the academic domain, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor plays a key role in enhancing the development of academic policies, improving the quality of teaching and learning, and ensuring the quality assurance of academic programmes to maintain excellence and competitiveness.

In addition, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International) oversees the development and promotion of international affairs and the University’s internationalisation initiatives.In addition, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International) supports the Vice-Chancellor in steering the University’s leadership toward achieving strategic goals related to teaching and learning as well as internationalisation. This includes enriching the student learning experience and implementing continuous professional development for the University’s academic staff. A key focus of this role is the development of frameworks and policies that support the University’s strategic objectives, while providing guidance and support to faculties and other organisational units in achieving these goals.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni) is responsible for leading the administration and management of student and alumni affairs. The Office plays a key role in ensuring a holistic student experience, including academic development, career support, co-curricular activities, student welfare, and alumni engagement. The primary focus is to empower students, support staff professional development, and foster an active and effective alumni network to advance the University’s excellence.

In addition, the Office is responsible for designing and implementing initiatives that enhance student well-being, foster leadership, and strengthen the University’s engagement with the community. These efforts ensure that every student and alumnus is equipped with the experience, skills, and networks needed to make meaningful contributions to society and the nation.

The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) is responsible for leading the University’s research strategy and innovation development. The Office plays a key role in driving academic excellence through the promotion of high-impact research, scholarly publications, technology transfer, and collaboration with industry and the community. Its primary focus is on strengthening a culture of innovation, enhancing the quality of research, and supporting the development of knowledge that is relevant and competitive at both national and international levels.

In addition, the Office is responsible for developing researchers’ capacity, providing support for research funding, and coordinating innovation initiatives across the University. These efforts ensure that the University is able to generate discoveries and technologies that have a positive impact on society, the economy, and national development.
