The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International) is responsible for leading the administration and management of the University, particularly in the areas of academic and international portfolios. In the academic domain, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor plays a key role in enhancing the development of academic policies, improving the quality of teaching and learning, and ensuring the quality assurance of academic programmes to maintain excellence and competitiveness.
In addition, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International) oversees the development and promotion of international affairs and the University’s internationalisation initiatives.In addition, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International) supports the Vice-Chancellor in steering the University’s leadership toward achieving strategic goals related to teaching and learning as well as internationalisation. This includes enriching the student learning experience and implementing continuous professional development for the University’s academic staff. A key focus of this role is the development of frameworks and policies that support the University’s strategic objectives, while providing guidance and support to faculties and other organisational units in achieving these goals.
