UPNM Strengthens National Defence Capabilities Through Strategic Collaborations at DSA & NATSEC Asia 2026
20 APRIL 2026 | KUALA LUMPUR: UPNM has reinforced its role as the nation’s premier defence university through the exchange of documents involving 14 strategic collaborations with industry partners and agencies held in conjunction with DSA & NATSEC Asia 2026 at MITEC.
Significant partnerships with global players such as MBDA France, Airbus Helicopters, and MKE Turkiye reflect UPNM's active involvement in high-value defence technology development. Simultaneously, collaborations with MINDEF through the National Resilience Course and Cradle Fund further strengthen the agenda for national readiness, innovation, and commercialization.

The ceremony was witnessed by the Director-General of Higher Education, YBhg. Datuk Prof. Dr. Azlinda Azman, and the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Defence, YBhg. Datuk Lokman Hakim bin Ali. This momentous occasion underscores the integrated commitment between academia, industry, and the government in fortifying the national defence ecosystem.
The Vice-Chancellor of UPNM, Lt Gen Datuk Wira Arman Rumaizi bin Hj Ahmad, stated that these collaborations ensure the university’s research and expertise are translated into tangible capabilities that support national preparedness and sovereignty.
